Start-ups are the basis for economic growth. New ideas, products, services and business models not only modernise the economic structure, but also create new jobs. That is why, as an international trade fair company, it is particularly close to our hearts to promote innovative start-ups with a high growth potential.

For several years now, we have been cooperating with the digihub, a large network of different players such as cities and municipalities, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, SMEs and corporate companies, co-working spaces, financial institutions, universities and business angels. The main topics of this network include digital & hydrogen, digital health, scale-up, artificial intelligence and B2B industry platforms. We have now expanded this cooperation once again to include the Scale-up NRW programme and are taking on the role of business promoter in Düsseldorf and NRW by bringing these companies together with key stakeholders at our international trade fairs.

An excellent best practice and important incubator for Messe Düsseldorf’s start-up commitment is the world’s leading medical trade fair MEDICA, which took place from 14 to 17 November 2022. Find out more about Messe Düsseldorf‘s start-up commitment in our interview with Dr Christian Plenge, Executive Director Digital Strategy and Communications at MEDICA 2022.

Want to dive deeper into the topic and learn more about our cooperation with digihub? In this case, we recommend you read our other current article about start-up promotion through trade fairs (German only).
