wire and Tube 2022: Latest technologies and sustainability

wire and Tube: live on site again in 2022

The motto of this year’s wire and Tube from 20 to 24 June is “Think global. Act global.” On an area of 95,000 square metres in 13 well-filled exhibition halls, around 1,900 exhibitors will present the latest technologies and manufacturing components, the most modern machines for the production of fibre optic cables and fine wires, high-end wire jacketing and spooling and rewinding live in action. The focus here is primarily on the energy turnaround and how to cope with it.

The transformation process to Industry 4.0, digitalised technologies and AI also play a central role for exhibitors at this year’s fair. Here, according to a representative survey by the digital association Bitkom, German industrial companies occupy second place behind the USA, followed by China and Japan. Proactive management in the companies is seen as the main reason for the success.

In order not to miss any highlights on the important topics of sustainability and green energy at the exhibition centre, free guided tours of the “pioneers of sustainability”, the so-called ecoMetal-trails, will take place for all interested visitors from 21 to 24 June at the North Entrance at 10.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. each day. The focus is on exhibitors who place particular emphasis on environmentally friendly methods and energy efficiency in production. The wire-trails lead to exhibitors such as netzwerkDraht, Rosendahl Nextrom, swiss steel holding GmbH, Aurubis and ArcelorMittal, the tube-trails to SMS, Ampco, Klöckner and also to netzwerkDraht. All information on the ecoMetal-trails as well as the registration can be found here ecoMetal-trails wire and here ecoMetal-trails Tube.

Anyone who wants to find out more about the transformation in metalworking is in the right place at the wire & Tube-ExpertsMeeting on June 21 and 22, starting at 2:00 p.m. each day. Here, renowned and internationally known top experts from the most important companies on the market will speak on the topic of “The steel industry is pushing ahead with its green transformation”. Recognized industry insiders will illuminate the different points of view on the energy transition with exciting keynotes, after which there will be plenty of time for networking and interesting discussions.

The After Business Chill, this year in the outdoor area, provides a relaxed end to the trade show. In a relaxed atmosphere, trade show participants can start the evening with acquaintances, business partners and trade show visitors over beer, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. With its summery atmosphere and comfortable seating, the lounge area also provides an ideal setting for industry discussions and a relaxed lunch break during the day.

The safety and health of all participants is guaranteed, among other things, by high-performance particulate filters, so-called HEPA air filters, which ensure optimum air quality. Detailed information on this can be found in the hygiene concept.

This and much more awaits visitors to the wire and Tube this year. All information for the wire can be found at www.wire-tradefair.com and for the Tube at www.tube-tradefair.com.

We look forward to seeing all exhibitors and visitors and wish them a pleasant stay in the city of Düsseldorf.
